| The Pournelle's AI, 'Mother' is the latest advanced computing platform to come from the Urbana Illinois headquarters of Heuristics Laboratories - the model X-2.
Technically, the X-2 is not a true artificial intelligence. It has no capacity for self directed thought. However, it is a highly refined expert system with the capability to receive 'fuzzy' directive via traditional or voice input and it's interfcae can simulate a human's to the extent that most users are unaware that they are dealing with a computer.
